Updates for this page are near completion This project has officially been recovered and we are moving into an Alpha 1.0.3 stage. While the rules for the card game are incomplete, The Cards are a complete game resource in themselves and we are going to release the source for the card template. What you can do with the card template: The cards can be used as a visual resource for your table top games Where you can get the card template: We are attempting to get the card template available on RPGNow.com with an asking price of $1.75. Please show some your support. What you can do with the Rules Set: The OSRPG CCG Rules Set are a free open source rules set. If you download the rules you can freely manipulate them to fit your favorite table top RPG. All we are asking is that you do not sell cards that use the OSRPG CCG rules without purchasing a resellers license. Download (ALPHA 1.0.3): OSRPG_CCG.pdf Standardized Resource Cost (SRC): The Standardized Resource Cost is a format for standardizing games made with the OSRPG CCG Templates. The SRC is by no means any way to hinder the creative thinking of those who have decided to purchase the templates. What the SRC offers is a standard that will allow everyone to revert to or rely on. If a group is using their own versions of cards and somone from outside the group wants to join in, the SRC will be made available for those players to share their game cards with each other during play. The SRC also provides a basic footprint for developers who wish to create their own card sets. By providing the SRC to everyone developers will be able to create a set of cards that can fit into the mass market of players who have purchased them. The SRC is now in an ALPHA State. It contains only a couple small wholes but this is the preview we will be using during our ALPHA Tests. Download (ALPHA 1.0.3): Standardized_Resource_Cost.pdf Card Print Out Document: Turn your printer into a printing press with this Open Office Document. This document contains the same 8 cards available in the free preview as well as 8 Graphic Styles that a developer can use to turn an ordinary sheet of paper into a sheet of cards. The cards in this document are sized at 3.43" height. This is in ALPHA stage though, so you might be able to print a clearer card with a height of 3.5" or greater. Printing Tips: In the current ALPHA stage the cards are printing a little dark. Future cards will probably print lighter but as a work around you can take the images from the document and make a little see through by lower the opacity. The cards are designed to be glued right over an existing card. This helps create a uniform back for all of your cards. I recommend using a Glue Stick and discourge the use of watery glues. Watery glues tend to bleed the ink. A Glue Stick created a nice firm card on a professional CCG card with a High Gloss finish. Measure twice cut once. I should have listened to this advice myself. One card I measured was under 3.5" so I printed 3.43" cards. However, the card I glued these too measured 3.5" Also, the black border is not needed for play. All cards will come in the 800 x 1132 size. When you get your pack of cards make them any size you want. Two cards are sideways. In order to reduce the amount of paper waste I tried to cram as many cards on the page as I could. Unfortunately, no matter what the images looked like on my screen the Top and Bottom print margins are just too small. I was forced to turn to cards on their side. The Graphic Styles will still work and set the card images in the correct position with the standard Height and Width. Developers will need to turn the cards on their side in another progam until Open Office provides that feature. Download: Card_Print_Out_Document.zip Preview some of the cards:
